The most powerful practices tend to be the simplest. I’m waking up every morning and practicing a series of breathing techniques for ten minutes. Breath work reminds me to bring what is unconscious to the surface, where I have more choices. It reminds me that cycles are natural, so if I feel like I’m somewhere I’ve been before, it’s cool, it’s just a cycle, not a failure. And it reminds my brain that a slow and steady state is available throughout the day.
